What's New?
We've been busy here at dpBestflow®, adding new material and reworking existing pages for clarity. This page will outline the new content, and provide direct links to new and revised pages.

Pardon our dust
We're still uploading new material as it makes its way through production. This means new pages will be going up, illustrations will be uploaded, pages will get revised and movies will be embedded. As we finalize pages, we'll add a link here.New Video Content
Perhaps the biggest change is the addition of a significant amount of content that outlines Best Practices and Workflow for video. We've been lucky to get experienced author and presenter Richard Harrington to join the team. There's a lot of new material on motion imaging, and it's generally geared to the still photographer adding these capabilities. We think this will also generally be helpful for DSLR filmmakers in general. Here are some places to dig in.
Video file formats
This is an area of mystery to many photographers, even those with a great understanding of computer imaging technology in general.

Video camera overview
We've created a section on video cameras, with an emphasis on DSLR cameras. This section also includes information about types of camera support and camera shots. \

Computer for video editing
We've created a guide for building a video editing computer that helps you understand how to get a machine that will let you create finished video as efficiently as possible.
New still photo pages
In addition to the video content, we have new pages that are relevant to still photography (and often these pages are relevant to general computer use as well.) We'll list pages here as they are finalized.
DNG
We have created a new page about the DNG file format, offering a deeper explanation of this important imaging technology.
Updates to existing sections
There are a number of sections that have had significant retooling of the content, in order to add clarity or to update for new software and hardware developments. Perhaps the most important of these is the Lifecycle section, since this simple concept is at the heart of all the workflow we outline here. In addition to that, we've improved sections on backup, DNG, data validation and more.
